I originally thought that Lincoln was very uncomfortable cuddling with his own sister as if she was her wife, but if that was the case, he wouldn't be hugging her. So I've come up with two possible explanations for what's happening.

1. Let's say for the sake of argument that Lincoln's afraid of thunderstorms. While snuggling with Lynn one summer night, a loud crash of lightning can be heard right outside the window, scaring Lincoln shitless. Fortunately, Lynn's there to make him feel better by kissing him several times.

2. Lincoln has a horrible nightmare involving Lynn and goes to her room, wakes her up and tells her about his bad dream. Lynn is more than happy to let her baby bro sleep with her, so she lifts her coves to let him in. Lynn kisses her terrified brother in one of many attempts to calm him down before they go to sleep.
